How I Take Baths for Migraine and Better Health

Self care february (6)Taking a bath has become part of my self care routine.  I typically make the time on Sundays to soak my week away.  When I take a bath I love to create a relaxing and individualized experience.  I fill my bath, light a candle, grab some water and turn on music (some days I love the quiet).

I fill my bath with:

Instead of a candle, I have a lantern made by my daughter. It looks beautiful lit with a battery candle.  I follow my bath up with body butter that’s essential oil mixable but I like it unscented.

The benefits of baths are endless.

Increase relaxation

Boost Magnesium levels (many Migraine sufferers are known to be insufficient)

Reduce stress

Reduce pain and inflammation

Relieve constipation

Increase energy or mental vibrancy

Soothe sore muscles

Eliminate toxins

Sleep better

What do you put in your bath?

  1. I love knowing that we all love a nice bath, they are hard for me to get in and out of so my husband helps me, but its worth it! I add Magnesium flakes and a lush bathbomb but I want to try more natural things like you have when I have used all my lush up

  2. My only problem is getting in and out of a bath. The tub in our new place is better, but I need my hubby or care worker here when I do take one. But these tips make me want to get into one now!
